  • Water Aerobics for Adults

Water Aerobics for Adults with Wendy Reamer-Johnson Water aerobics is a low-impact, group-based workout that takes place in our swimming pool. Classes typically last 50 minutes and are led by an instructor through a series of moves set to music. Wendy has taught water aerobics at the YMCA and as a silver sneakers instructor in the district area. The buoyancy of the water is easy on the joints, and participants can adjust the intensity of their workout by manipulating the water. Come and join us at the pool! The 6 week session will be Tuesday evenings from 4:30 - 5:30 PM and will start on November 19th. Classes are $6 per class or $25 for the session

Weekday practices could be in the evenings from 5:45-7:15 or after school from 3:15-4:45. We do work around the available gym space for practices and will be working with local leagues to get games scheduled so the final practice and game schedule can’t be released until the high school schedule is out. Practices will start mid November and the season runs through early February. We participate in the Hwy 23 League with games on Saturdays in Mora. The scheduled Saturday games dates in Mora are 12/7/24, 12/21/24, 1/25/25 & 2/1/25. We will use an activity app, Heja, to share schedules and messages. You can email Genny Swenson with questions: Genevieve.m.swenson@gmail.com Please make checks for $50 registration fee ($85 if a jersey was ordered) to: East Central Community Ed or register/pay online and by Monday, October 21st. If finances are a concern, please reach out to discuss. We want every child to have the opportunity to participate. (All funds go to the cost of the leagues, referees, and equipment. Refunds for jerseys cannot be given if your child decides not to play after the order has been placed) In lieu of a fundraiser we are asking if anyone would be willing to “adopt-a-ball” and donate extra money beyond the participation fee to go toward purchasing basketballs for their child’s team? A new, high-quality, basketball is about $50 - any amount would be appreciated! Reversible team mesh jerseys with a number are required. You may wear one from a previous year or to purchase one they are $35 (they can be worn for multiple years). **Jerseys are required to play**
