AGE REQUIREMENT: Students need to be 15 years of age by October 15, 2022 to take the class. COST: $320.00 $120.00 is due at registration, balance paid in full by November 14. The blue card will not be issued until paid in full (So if your child does not turn 16 for a bit, you can wait to pay until the need to set up the behind the wheel time). EAST CENTRAL STUDENT FEES East Central has set the activities fee for all sports except trap shooting AND hockey as follows: $50.00/athlete per sport. Hockey is $150.00/student. Trap Shooting is $105.00/student. (Plus an additional 35.00 fee paid to the Clay Pigeon Association. Your coach will contact you on the steps needed to enroll in this and the deadline to do so). If the athlete participates in two sports, the third sport is free. TRAP AND HOCKEY DO NOT COUNT TOWARDS A FREE SPORT DUE TO INHERENT COSTS. HARVEST CHRISTIAN STUDENTS (Grades 9-12) - $350.00 Grades 9-12 the fee is $350.00 per sport. The agreements between the EC and Harvest Christian stated the Harvest Christian SCHOOL would pay $300.00 of the fee and the Harvest Christian PARENTS would pay the additional $50.00. PopularFunk Dooby (flickr) (CC BY 2.0)Youth Cross Country 2022Youth2022 YOUTH CROSS COUNTRY SPACE IS LIMITED TO 15 RUNNERS Youth Cross Country is an opportunity for both boys and girls in grades 1st-6th to learn more about the sport of cross country. Students will run as well as participate in strength and conditioning exercises and cross-training. Practices will occur on Tuesdays (August 30; September 6, 20, 27) from 3:20 pm-5:00 pm (meet in the foyer) Saturdays (September 10, 17, 24; October 1) from 10:00 am-11:00 am (meet at the entrance building at Banning State Park) **Please be sure your student is aware they will be running a lot. Youth runners are invited to participate in cross country meets prior to the high school races. See additional registration form for cross-country meet information. ** Students can participate in youth cross country without needing to participate in the meets. Students will need to wear comfortable running shoes and clothes (dress appropriately; if it is not raining, runners will be outside). GRADES: Students entering grades 1-6 in the 2022-23 school year - BOYS AND GIRLS!! COST: 20.00 first student, 16.00 second student this INCLUDES a t-shirt *To guarantee that t-shirts are received by the first meet, the last day to register is August 22, 2022 by NOON. Instructors: Cassie Gaede and Jessica DeRungs Welcome to Youth Cross Country Thank you for joining the 2022 youth cross country team. It will be an exciting season with many opportunities to run and have fun! Below is important information for both the runner and parent. Practices: Tuesdays (August 30; September 6, 20, 27) from 3:30-5:00pm and on Saturdays (September 10, 17, 24; October 1) from 10:00am-11:00am. Runners will meet in the foyer area on Tuesdays and at the main office at the entrance of Banning State Park on Saturdays. Please be ready to run outside unless it is raining, in which case we will run inside (no practices will be canceled due to weather). Cross Country Meets: We have been invited to 3 cross country meets to run prior to the high school students. These races will be between .5 - .75 miles in length. Parents are responsible for transporting their children to these races and notifying the school that they will be leaving early. Make sure students have appropriate running clothes and shoes, along with a water bottle and snack (wear their cross country shirt they will receive!). Students are welcome to cheer on the high school runners afterward. Tuesday, September 8 at Pine City, September 13 at Mora, & October 4 at Hinckley. *Cross country meets are usually held at the golf courses within these cities. Parents please make sure your correct email and phone are listed in the registration system - this information will assist with us being connected and sharing updates!
